3. Detailed Product Description

Discover the Edward Newgate Manga Rare Card

The Edward.Newgate (005) (Manga) is a premium collectible from The World’s Strongest Warriors (OP-17) expansion of the One Piece Card Game. Featuring Edward Newgate, better known as Whitebeard, this special printing is aimed at collectors who appreciate iconic characters and distinctive manga-inspired artwork.

For buyers searching online for a Newgate SP card, it is important to distinguish this Manga Rare printing from cards specifically identified as SP. Although both can be desirable collectibles, they are different printing categories. The OP17-005 Manga version should be identified by its exact card number, artwork, and edition rather than by a generic SP label.

High Power and Strategic Gameplay

Beyond its collector appeal, this Red Character has a cost of 10 and power of 12,000. Its conditional hand effect reduces its cost by four when your opponent has a Character with 10,000 power or more, potentially making it easier to play against established opposing boards.

Its On Play effect changes the base power of your mono-colored Leader to 8,000 until the end of your opponent’s next End Phase. This can support strategies that benefit from a stronger Leader during the following turn.

These abilities give the card a defined gameplay role in addition to its special artwork. Its suitability depends on your deck construction, Leader choice, and current strategy.

A Premium Collectible for One Piece Fans

The Manga Rare printing stands apart from the standard and alternate-art versions of Edward Newgate. Collectors may value its artwork, edition, and place in a Manga Rare collection, while retailers and resellers may evaluate demand for premium One Piece TCG singles.

As with other high-value cards, market prices depend on the exact printing, language, condition, and current demand. Review actual product photographs and confirm the edition before purchasing.

Whether you’re collecting Whitebeard cards, improving a One Piece collection, or buying premium singles for resale, this Edward Newgate Manga Rare offers a distinctive combination of artwork, character recognition, and gameplay utility.

4. Why Choose This Edward Newgate Card?

• Distinctive Manga Rare artwork: A special printing for collectors seeking something beyond the standard edition.
• Iconic One Piece character: Whitebeard is a major figure in the series.
• Strong gameplay statistics: 12,000 power with a cost-reduction condition.
• Strategic Leader support: Its On Play effect can raise a mono-colored Leader’s base power to 8,000 for the specified duration.
• Precise card identification: OP17-005 helps buyers find the intended edition.
• Suitable for multiple buyer types: Collectors, players, retailers, and resellers can evaluate the card for their needs.
• More confident purchasing: Clear photographs, condition information, and printing verification help buyers avoid confusing Manga Rare and SP versions.

Compared with a standard Edward Newgate card or a separate SP printing, this Manga Rare version offers a different collecting proposition. The underlying gameplay effect is unchanged across printings of the same card, so comparisons should focus on the exact edition, condition, and market price.
